This summer marks 7 years that Eaton has partnered with GoFarm Mobile Farmer’s Market. Established in
2014, GoFarm is “a nonprofit organization with a mission to train and support local farmers,
connect people with local agriculture, and increase equitable access to nutrient-rich food grown
in Colorado.” Across the United States, there is a growing need for local food systems that
ensure fair prices for farmers while remaining accessible and affordable for consumers. This
need is a driving force behind GoFarm’s creation and success over the past decade. Every
other Friday this summer, their food truck has visited Eaton Senior Communities, offering
residents the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown produce. This initiative has been a
summer success, with a great turnout of residents and staff stopping by to browse and buy.
Through this collaboration, we are fostering a more sustainable and connected local food
system. We are grateful and excited about this partnership this year, as it has allowed us to
strengthen our community ties while supporting local farmers. We look forward to continuing this
partnership and exploring new ways to enhance the well-being of our community!
