Eaton Senior Communities Foundation’s Annual Report is Now Available.
This year, Eaton opened The Summit, which offers independent apartments to the low- to middle-income market. These new residents have access to Eaton’s large array of supportive programs and services that enable many to age in place. Eaton is excited to be a pioneer in the middle-market senior housing field. The Foundation has remained heavily focused on Resident Assistance and Health & Wellness Programs. Through these avenues, Eaton empowers residents to live life to the fullest. In a resident’s own words:
“Eaton has made a tremendous difference in my life. Eaton means being able to live independently longer since we all help one another here. Pretty much everything I need or want can be found here at Eaton… My life at another apartment complex would be just that — me stuck in the apartment without transportation or friends or the many activities that I have here at Eaton. Eaton keeps me young at heart and in my soul.”
Grant writing efforts resulted in $20,000 from Community First Foundation to support Eaton’s Health and Wellness Program’s collaborations with community partners in Jefferson County. A $10,000 grant from A.V. Hunter Trust, Inc. and a $3,000 grant from Schlessman Family Foundation continue to support Eaton’s Health & Wellness Program and Resident Advocate position. Comprecare Fund at The Denver Foundation provided a $10,000 grant to continue funding on-site research regarding Eaton’s housing plus services model.
The April Fundraising Dinner and Auction raised over $54,000 to support the position of “Director of Resident Services” at The Summit. The seventh annual Garden Party raised over $5,200 and all proceeds were added to the Foundation’s Resident Assistance Fund. This year, our Resident Assistance Fund provided support to 43 residents. The impact of this assistance is immeasurable.
Eaton Senior Communities is incredibly grateful for your generous donations. Through your continued support, we subsidize supportive
services for residents and address needs in the community.
