Stay-at-Home Summer 2020

According to experts, it looks like Summer 2020 may look a little unusual for many of us.  The recommendations to stay-at-home are likely to continue and extend through the summer, especially for older adults and those at a higher risk of complications from the virus. However, that does not mean summer is cancelled!

 

Here are some ideas for your Stay-at-Home Summer: 

• Redecorate: 
  • For an easy refresh of your space, rearrange art, books and knick knacks. 
  • If you want to invest more money and effort, consider rearranging furniture, getting a new bed-set or painting an accent wall. 
  • Don’t forget to order online or call ahead for pick-up at stores like Home Depot! 
• Pick-Up a New Hobby:
  • If you want to learn a new language for free, visit the website or download the app for ‘Duolingo’. 
  • If you want to become an architecture buff, take free classes from Harvard such as ‘The Architectural Imagination.’  
  • If you want to become a gourmet chef, check out Gordon Ramsay’s free Youtube channel with plenty of classes with all sorts of delicious recipes.
• Connect in Different Ways: 
  • Take up letter writing.
  • Find a new pen-pal. 
  • Check out this list of free ‘tuck-in’ gifts that you can slide into cards.
